Understanding Oak: A Chardonnay Tasting @ Freedom Run Winery

Greetings to the UNDERGROUND,

As the vines begin their labored emergence from dormancy, and the farmers slog through the spring mud to prepare for May blossoms, the winery continues to assess wines and prepare for our next bottling run.

Chardonnay awaits the bottle. But how to proceed?

French or American oak? Or maybe no oak at all?

Gain UNDERGROUND access to the decisions that make up the final blend. Winemaker Ryan Sidoti, and Vineyard Manager Kurt Guba create a dramatic presentation demonstrating oak and its aromatic effects. An exciting tasting opportunity featuring five examples of our 2020 Estate grown Chardonnay, including a unique charcuterie board, made not to satisfy your hunger, but to elevate your tasting experience.

Join Us on Friday, May 21 at 7:00pm in the Barrel Room.

This event is FREE for UNDERGROUND Wine Club members and their guests and $25/person for Non Members.

Seating will be limited and social distancing guidelines will be in effect.
