Learn the Art of Illustration with the Zentangle Method @ Freedom Run Winery

Visiting artist Wanda will teach you the Zentangle Method, an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns using a combination of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves and orbs.

Zentangle is fun and simple to learn. Each stroke is easy to draw -- there are no mistakes, no pre-planned outcomes, and you always know what to do next.

The term Zentangle can be broken down into two words -- Zen is a state of mind where emotion or thought does not bind you.  The created patterns are referred to as "tangles" and are a mixture of dots, lines , basic curves and orbs.  These shapes are the 'elemental strokes' of a Zentangle art piece.

Zentangle techniques can boost concentration, bust stress, and help with fine motor skills.

The invention of Zentangle was intended to make the act of drawing pleasurable, meditative and accessible to all to open your creativity.  No previous training required, just a desire to unlock your creative energy.

Almost every person discovers they can create something unexpected and beautiful in one class which feels good, particularly for people who believed they couldn't draw.

On Saturday, February 3, Wanda will teach the following 2 hour classes:

• Beginner 12:30p - 2:30p ~ $34.95
• Intermediate 3:00p - 5:00p ~ $34.95 (must have working knowledge of Zentangle or take the beginners class first and stay for the second more in-depth class)
• Book both classes and save $10 ~ $59.95 (only one wine tasting included)

• Wanda will teach a Bonus Class ~ Wanda will walk you through creating a step-by-step 'Pattern Book' of your own to refer to again and again.  This class is for 'experienced' Zentangle artists...or take the Saturday classes first.
